Weekend syndrome worries young
people
Did you have a good weekend or a bad weekend? What kind of weekend did you
have this weekend?
We told you about a month ago about the "weekend syndrome" in which many
young people treaded upcoming weekends cause they weren't sure what to do.
Well, now doctors are saying that no even though some people have found
stuff to do on the weekend, they still suffer from a different kind of "weekend
syndrome." That no matter what they do, they feel like they had a boring
weekend.
A patient named Ms. Han says she always hangs out with friends from many
other circles. Sometimes, they all do stuff together throughout the whole
weekend without stopping. But even so, Ms. Han always feels like she has had a
boring weekend.
To deal with the problem, experts advise single people to make more friends
and develop their own hobbies. Meanwhile, they advise people to hold moderated
expectations about the weekend break, and to avoid making a too tight of a plan
for how to spend their time.
"Private" helicopters rental started in Harbin
An aviation company in Harbin has started helicopters rental service
recently. Thus it is possible for one to take a ride in a helicopter to go
skiing there.
The helicopters for rent include Y-12, Z-9A and AS350B2. The price varies
from 15,000 yuan to 20,000 yuan per hour depending on different models of the

Though the price is beyond the reach of most of the ordinary citizens, the

Girlfriends valued, in dollars
Just how much is your girlfriend worth? Well, here's an online calculator
that tells you -no more than 320 bucks.
Many male users of an online forum are using a newly discovered program to
calculate the value of their girlfriends, according to Huashang newspaper.
However, barely any girls score more than 2,500 yuan, or 320 US dollars,
which disappoints many couples.
A man surnamed Li reportedly has the girlfriend with the most value, at
2,500 yuan. He said, proudly, that the game was quite fun.
The results are based on 19 items of personal information, including the
girlfriends' height, weight, number of previous relationships, and whether she
eats onions and plays mahjong.
If your girl has passed the College English Test Band Four, 300 yuan is
added to her value.
Although the creator of the game is unknown, the report says it to some
degree reflects Chinese people's attitudes towards modern women.
New Year's housemaids free up parents' time
Instead of giving household goods to their parents as gifts as is
traditional, many dutiful young people in Anshan, Liaoning, hired housemaids for
their hardworking parents during this New Year's holiday.
"I had a very easy day this New Year's holiday with the help of a housemaid
my son booked for me," a mother surnamed Wang said. Without doing much
housework, another mother said she had more time to spend the holiday with her
family members.
Booking temporary housemaids as special gifts to their parents are likely
to be popular again at Spring Festival, the time for traditional family-reunions
for Chinese, which starts on February 18.
